Social Distancing. Or gathering?
To gather.
To walk with a crew-like fervor.
To join hands in solidarity.
To march alongside you.
To move to the music as one.
To social distance.
To walk alone.
To avoid touch.
Can it be called a march if you are not beside me?
walk in a military manner with a regular measured tread.
Or perhaps a slog?
Go ahead, listen to the music in headphones.
What happens when you put a man in solitary confinement?
What happens when you strip him of his oh-so-very human contact?
He may find joy in life’s comforts of food, excess, vanity and knowledge.
Or
Will he lose the greatest part of what it is that makes his heart worth beating.
Will that part of him slowly diminish?
-The
cost
of distance
